Had a bunch of firsts before the mostly successful year of 2009 winds down.
Successfully managed to get 50% of my wedding underway, now the count down until May 16th, and to get the boys suited up, and to find wedding cars that will be cheaper than a 5Dmk2, and to loose about 20kg, and to find some nice socks, and to learn to cook... >_>
My first roll of 120 to get developed from my Holga, and first medium format film/camera use. After the long wait it was finally here and I can't help but feel as if I have squandered it a little, because the price of developing is so expensive now as 120 is only done at specialist labs in my city, which means those shots that don't make 'the cut' sting twice as bad..(Is it even more sad that 'The cut' is dA?)
I really need to escape this digital 'shoot&delete' mentality. I do however love how film makes me appreciate things I've never bothered to look at, the city I've walked countless times, but now I stop and look. That's when you notice others stopping and looking too - It's like a yawn

somewhat infectious and makes me smile to myself.
I also need to remember that lonely 35mm SLR & 50mm f/1.8 that rides with me in the car all-day-every-day. It wants to play.
